The Conference offers to scientists and practitioners in the area of Multimedia plenary scientific and technical sessions, tutorials, panels and discussion meetings on relevant and challenging questions for the next years horizon of multimedia. The Interactive Art program ACM Multimedia 2010 will provide the opportunity of interaction between artists and computer scientists and investigation on the application of multimedia technologies to art and cultural heritage.

Most cited paper of the decade award to the General Co-Chair Shih-Fu Chang and the Publicity Chair Yong Rui

Shih-Fu Chang and Yong Rui Yong Rui, Thomas Huang, and Shih-Fu Chang received the Most cited paper of the decade award. The paper “Image Retrieval: Current Techniques, Promising Directions, and Open Issues”, in Journal of Visual Communication and Image Representation, 10 (1999) 39–62, has received 564 citations in Scopus and over 1000 cites in Google Scholar, making it the most cited paper in the Journal.

Nicola Torpei is appointed Art Exhibit Technology Chair
