Technical Demos guidelines

To submit a contribution to the Technical Demos program, authors should prepare a paper describing the research and a presentation or video demonstrating the principles of operation and results of what is proposed. All files must be zipped into one package, to be uploaded through the electronic submission system. Alternetively video contributions can be made available at a public URL for download and the URL address be referred explicitely in the paper.

The paper should be in the same form as for Short Papers, following the same guidelines. The sentence “SUBMITTED to ACM MULTIMEDIA 2010 DEMO PROGRAM” written in capital letters must appear in the first page, after the authors’ names. All submissions will be peer-reviewed to ensure quality. The review process is single-blinded.

Videos submitted should adhere the following requirements:

  • The videos can range in duration between 3 minutes to 5 minutes
  • The minimum spatial resolution is 320*240 pixels per frame
  • Videos should be submitted at a minimum of 15fps
  • The videos should be in a standard archival format, such as .mov, .avi, .mpeg-1, and mpeg-2
