Discussion Rooms

Discussion Rooms is an innovation that has been introduced in the ACM Multimedia 2010 Program as a new opportunity for researchers that attend the ACM Multimedia Conference to gather freely and start non-structured debates on hot topics of multimedia. Discussion Rooms are open spaces for debate peer-to-peer basis and will complement Panels (that stimulate experts-to-attendees debates), and Tutorials (that provide expert-to-attendees overview or in-depth courses) and  Doctoral Symposia (that implement expert-to-PHD moments of scientific suggestion). Discussion rooms will be equipped with seats, projectors and  poster boards to allow any form of dissemination.

Requests will be accepted by the Discussion Room Chairs according to judged relevance to the Conference attendees, on a first come first served basis. The Topics accepted will have a booked slot in the ACM Multimedia Discussion Room program.
Free slots can be booked directly at the Conference time on a first come first served basis.

Summaries of Discussion Room debates provided by the discussion proposers and reviewed by the Discussion Rooms Chairs will be included in the ACM Digital Library.
